Liberals Embrace Perry's Christian Values

You've been schooled. You just can't admit it.

It has everything to do with personal liberty; If two men want to be married, or two women want to be married then they should be allowed on the grounds that it is their own choice - not yours, or mine or the governments... You can instead call them "civil unions" but it's the exact same thing, and it is their unalienable right. You dont have to like it, or marry a man yourself, but you have no right to tell anybody else that they cant.
I don't think gay marriage is an unalienable in most of the country, or much of the rest of the world. In Islamic societies, gays are routinely stoned to death. Frankly, no "right" is unalienable. All rights can be taken away, and have been throughout history. Such is the nature of Mankind. There used to be a "right" to own slaves! So where one's rights began, another's ended. A woman's "right" to kill her child extended until the child became an adult in Roman times. This talk of "rights" is naivety.

life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?

what a JOKE!

hey jack, if you are sick of gay marriage, blame straight people. they are the ones that keep popping out these gay babies.

I believe, at least in the past, most gay men married women, and had children by them. So gays can and do reproduce. Kind of nullifies your claim. Also indicates homosexuality is indeed a choice.

when did you choose to be attracted to women?

straight people can get married in every state. FAIL
That's a poor arguement. Gays can also get married in every state. To a person of the opposite gender, EXACTLY like straights. Calling it a "canard" is merely trying to force a label on it. Gays have always had the the exact same rights in marriage as straights, you're advocating for a whole other "right".

gays do not have the same rights as straight people.

a straight person has the liberty to marry the partner of their choice, gays do not have the liberty to marry the partner of their choice.

do i have to explain what "gay" is to adults all day?

it's a canard.

You know that argument is old an tired. Anti-gay advocates have been spouting that shit for years. And that's exactly what it is. Shit. That's like saying African slaves had the same rights as their owners only they didn't because they wouldn't paint themselves white.

if only they had spray paint back then.

no it isn't.

no state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the united states; nor shall any state deprive and person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor dent to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the law.

learn it, jack.

O.K. Now that had no bearing at all on the subject. But I'll bet you think it does. You're reading something into that quote that isn't in there at all, if you think that somehow supports your argument.

excellent rebuttal.

"you're wrong!"

Really? Then please explain DOMA to me. I would love to see your spin on this.

apparently, telling someone they can't marry the partner of their choice is not a deprivation of liberty.

in that case, we shall restrict all straight people to get married to only fat midgets. no deprivation of liberty, right?

and the canard is repeated just for clarification.

gays marry people OF THE SAME SEX. check that, they would, if they had equal rights.

lamest. argument. ever.

About 80%, historicaly, marry the opposite sex. You keep stating falsehoods, slap dubious labels on others statements as if that somehow negates their statements, and then declare yourself the "winner". You have a completely closed mind. There's no point in arguing with you because you don't have the ability to even consider that you could ever be mistaken about anything. Nothing you've stated tonight has any truth in it, but you're so convinced of yourself, you don't even know it.
