No more hand watering for me.
2017 model, 5 plant vertical grow.

Like this setup, pump is very noisy though. I get four to five days of 4 cycles/light period, per 15 gallon fill.

Hes following DJMs advice, constant waterings 5-6 times daily every few hours.

Coco is meant to be treated like HYDRO, not like soil. It dries out fast and is inert , so watering/feeding frequently has great benefits.

DONT let your coco dry out the same way you would soil grows, one of the perks of COCO is the risk of over watering is minimal compared to soil, when they are young you can use the wet/dry cycle as was explained to me, it helps with root growth, but once they are of size, you can water those girls pretty frequently. You want your coco to always be moist at the least.

Love this setup gr, cant wait to get my new room setup properly, this hand watering 14 plants daily is getting old, should be fun once i start feeding them 3 times a day lol

My main focus once my lights are built will be automation. i gotta start removing some of the work from this equation.
 
What Diggs said. Its running the room at high rh mainly. Been doing the multifeeds. (And made some mistakes...root rot....etc along the way)

You can treat coco like soil and get soil results nothing wrong with that. I use that method when my veg tent is full so I can get slow growth. I even let the top barely get dry. Whenever I want fast growth I treat coco like hydro. Thats why I love coco. Its the best of both worlds imo. Also, you can overwater a plant in coco if the root system is not big enough to handle frequent waterings especially in nursery type pots. I will say it is harder to overwater a seedling in a fabric type pot since they provide even more aeration.

I hear you its a long read and many dont believe that VPD works and people shat on him way back before VPD was taken serious. DJM is planning to release a book about all his tips and tricks soon so be on the lookout.

I just seen those spread sheets you posted on the other thread, wanna do me a solid and post them in here too? This thread is my one stop shop for all things coco so far. You guys have flooded this thread with great info. I'll use this over and over for years to come lol

I'm sure other newbies like me will also appreciate it.

Order Matters: Adding nutrients in the wrong order can create lock out, which leaves the nutrients unavailable to the plant.

When dilution is required to reach the target EC, it is best to dilute with “Cal/Mag” water rather than plain water.

Hey you mentioned earlier, somewhere, that you were gonna run the DJM method, is that in the space you normally use?

What are you doing? intake with passive exhaust? or you using AC?

I think this is a good indication the roots are exploring well. Another couple wet/dry cycles and i think they will be ready to start taking water more frequently.

Glad to post them.

I'm using my 1 and only 4x8x8 flower room. Sealed, AC, Co2.

I only exhaust at lights on and off. Pulling in fresh air thru a 20"x30" Merv13 intake filter. No bugs and chit allowed in my room.

The major change is not being scared to run high humidity. High being 70-75%. With temps to match for VPD.

Currently temps in the low 80s. Leaf surface temps 77-84.

Those emitters are cool, how to you find them for spreading the water throughout the pot?

Im thinking about setting up a simple design similar to Picos over at icmag....make things easier in my garden until i switch to ebb and flow.

My idea is even simpler than his, i plan to run 1 long run down the length of my table, have drip lines running off it to each pot, each pot draining off to my plumbing in the basement floor.

Im looking for good emitters. was gonna go back and read the earlier posts from you and gr...see what you were using.

HydroHalos. They rain down vs drip. I think your solution is best.
