Report: Obama administration knew millions wouldn't be able to keep insurance

Just found out that our health insurance went up 30% over last year.

Thanks, Obama.

yet health care costs represent the same amount of the economy that they have for years now.

why would they increase your premium when costs remain steady?

it's not true.

You're confused.

I'm not going to let him get away with it

No, you just don't understand what you're talking about.

Look it up.

health care costs have remained steady for three years now, kiddo.

you're confused. look it up. you just don't understand what you're talking about.

devryU has failed you.

if only that black guy didn't take your place at ITT tech.

Best quote I've heard so far.

It's like living in living in death valley and having my car taken away, but forcing me to buy another that costs more but I'm told it's better because it has heated seats and snow tires.

i hear it gets cold out there at night..that, and A/C..i'd be good with it..i'm a team player who works well with others:lol:

Healthcare costs grew approximately 4% last year and the premiums for employer-sponsored health insurance likewise grew by an average of approximately 4%. If healthcare costs grew by 4%, why would insurance companies maintain the same premium costs?

not many people woiuld cherrypick stats from one single company without citation and keep repeating the claim as if it were the only data point.

check that, maybe a devryU graduate would. but that black kid who took your spot at ITT tech is currently making much better internet arguments than you.

Wait, so healthcare costs really weren't skyrocketing? What the hell was all that back there ----->

premiums tripled in the 20 years before the PPACA was passed, not sure about actual costs.

but in the last 3 years, health care costs have grown at the same rate as the economy, our expenditures represent the same percentage of the economy that htey have for three years. they've been steady.

they certainly haven't increased by 30%.

that is the extent to which i will humor your "playing dumb" routine, patricia.

being minimally informed from here on out will be an exercise left to the reader.

let me remind you that a team player does well when a zombie apocalypse occurs..

LOL!! excellent point. I think we ALL become pro-gun then.

I will make this pledge to you, even though our politics differ, I will watch your back if we are together when the zombies come.

point you are ignoring...

"The ACA will help reign in skyrocketing health care costs". Not on the same level as you can keep your policy if you like it, but still...

Your side claims costs were skyrocketing to make an argument and claims costs have been steady to make an argument. Fun stuff.

If you don't trust PWC or Kaiser, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services say that healthcare spending will grow 5.8% per year in the net 10 years.

trust me, when it comes down to it..i have the guts to survive and you'd want me on your team..i'm athletic and train 3x weekly.. have a club model eliptical in my living room..

it matters not..premiums are subject to the 80/20 rule..

well, costs have been steady since the PPACA was passed. so not sure why you cast doubt on that claim when what little evidence we have so far all points to it being true, even though it is still too early to evaluate the claim.

not that lack of evidence or sample size has ever stopped a partisan hack like you from claiming to see what you want to see.

and just to ramp up the dishonesty in your post, as if one lie was not sufficient for a depraved, loathesome, internet gaylord like yourself, you chose to bring up this whole canard about insurance plans. nevermind that insurance plans change every year, and that this is happening this year as it has every year gone by, it is now the end of the world when your HR rep hands you the list of insurance options for the year during enrollment period and they are not numerically identical in every way.

you lying cretins must really be happy with yourselves right now. taking mundane facts and things that happen every year, and turning them into a new piece in your jigsaw puzzle of lies which, when completed, clearly shows the sky to be falling.

well done.

"Obama’s claim on the historically low growth rates for health costs is true, according to the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation and CMS data. National health spending grew by 3.9 percent from 2009 through 2011, and near 4 percent in 2012; it’s projected to grow at a similar rate through 2013. Those are the lowest rates since the government started keeping track in 1960."
