Bro that aero plant is getting very very inefficient lighting. You are wasting a lot of those CFL's potential, You should read the CFL stickies.

Also the soilless group could probably stand to be placed closer together to share the light better.

Don't call your seedling a "he," it's bad luck in the garden. I love me some Technaflora, are you using their entire line up? You'll notice plants grown from seed stretch a bit more than plants from clone.

I use floranova I only used the magi-cal because i didnt wanna get cal-mag because ive heard it has a short shelf life or something. All of my plants are from seed the ones in the flood table streched alot. The soiless ones did also but i just buried the stem. lol i didnt mean to call her a he. on my next grow im thinking of using the technaflora just to try something new. ok after reading the cfl sticky im let with the conclusion that your refering to the lights distance from the plant. I am fixing that now. all my lights are now within 4 inches of the plant. I am using 2 65k and 2 30k because im trying to see how well the dual specrum works. which so far seems to be ok since this is got alot of buds and alot of crystals forming. Im gonna switch the lights up today maybe put one30k on top andone 65k on the sides. maybe that will give me more of the dual specrum all over that i want.

I like the floranova. And the General Organics Ca/Mg supplement does go rancid fast, but if you store it under 70f and keep it out of the light, it will last well over a year. Same with any fertilizer. All my shit usually stays at around 68f to 65f where I store my fertilizers, so I easily double most gardeners shelf lives. Plus, I never store fertilizer under lights, they are put into a tool chest. But I love technaflora. If you want to try it, grab the 35 dollar kit. You won't fucking believe the incredible results that you will get with it. TechnaFlora is some really good stuff, but it does give watery tissue, but I don't care, over all plant health is through the roof when I use that stuff.

Auto Fruit bean is going into a wet paper towel in 3, 2, 1... and it's now germinating. Woo!

sweet. I have never heard that about fertalizers. I store mine on a shelf in my grow room. its not under any light but its definetly exposed to light. That technaflora kit is what i was looking at. it has everything in it so. Congrats on the fruit, you will love the smell it literaly smells just like grapefruit. i keep sniffing the plant all the time. I germinated that seed in the aerogarden and it accualy worked just took longer than the paper towel method. took me 8 days to seed it sprout where the others poped in 2 days and was coming outa the soil in 4 days so. anyhow good luck with the fruit.

I finnally purchased a new magnafier today. I took a look at the fruit and all the trichs are cloudy so im geting close i say another 3 weeks and its gonna be done. I am interested in adding some type of molassas or something simialar to add carbs. Is that worth doing? I wanna have the fastest and most potent buds as possible. I always thought kool blooms took care of that but i guess not. let me know what you think and or what you recomend for that.

I always recommend molasses if you have proper temps for it, and keep a close eye on your solution and it's pH. Molasses can cause stuff to go screwy if temps aren't under 73 in the water. In soil containers, molasses is always fine. You can pick up some floralicious. I highly recommend that, but not floralicious plus, although it is amazing, it is not good for flushing. If you don't mind buying both, then get both, but always remember how much money is going in, and how much bud is coming out of this project. I would just start with plain old floralicious.

Of course, molasses is way cheaper and works fucking amazing. I use molasses a lot, but I also use 3 other carbohydrates for different reasons, I also have a 4th that I am all out of right now, and a 5th when I'm flushing, because Clearex also contains carbohydrates.
I use molasses for brewing teas and as a general pick-me-up for well rooted plants that don't have the same vigor as others. I use Liquid Carboload for tea brewing as well, but this is mainly my all-purpose carbohydrate because all the complex goodness in it, plus it is very stable. I use Sweet Raw anytime I want to use molasses but I am concerned about temperatures; Sweet Raw is all derived from molasses, but it's much more stable and soluable, but it doesn't have all the same goodness in it, but it's close... if Sweet Raw isn't available Sugar Daddy is the same shit. During my last few weeks of flower, and deep into the flushing stage I use a local product called Sparks, which visibly gives me frostier and fatter plants, more so than anything else. And sometimes in the last few days of flush I use Clearex, not always, I don't always need it, and flushing agents always leave a little bit of harshness in the smoke... well, not always, but often enough if you don't take care while using them.

You can seriously get away with just 1 carb supplement. I just us so many because I have so much excess fertilizer laying around from trying different line ups. Also, considering my weekday job, I am constantly gifted stuff like this from Venders that come into the shop.

The Sparks is goooood stuff though, I can't wait until this guy goes national so you guys can try it too.

Well curently i use floranova bloom floralisious plus and liquid koolblooms and magical during late flowering. I just went and bought a jar of grandmas oringinal molasses unsulphered. I fertalized them today with the ussualy plus the molasses at 1 tsp per gallon. Im hoping since i let my plants get to 2 ft during veg they will finish in the 4-6 ft range leaving me with 3-4 oz per plant. Last time i grew my plants to half that and i got 2 per plant and they didnt even finish. I will look into some floralicious regular. I assume your refering to the grow and bloom floralicious?

Yes, yes, and yes. But you better trim up the bottoms of those plants you put into flower, or you are going to have some problems. Its always a judgement call on how much to take off, but try and do it over a course of a week if you decide to do some heavier trimming, so you don't stress your plants. If you are affraid of herms, you may not want to trim at all, but stay alert for possible mold problems.

Also, I love your new avatar. Lol,

Thats what im worried about with trimming now. I really should have done it befor flowering. I will keep my eye out for mold. atm my humidity seems to be peged at 55% I got this huge arse ac in here (10k btu) plus i have a back up dehumidifier. I seem that pic and it was to funny.

That is a ridiculous A/C. But much much better to have an oversized A/C than not. You'll never have to worry about temps.

I had a 5200 btu a/c in here and it wasnt doing shit I mean w/o my temps where 110 w/ temps where 95 w/ this one temps are 68 and roughly 78 in the tents. we are experincing a extreme amount of humidity the last few days Im having to run the a/c and the dehumidifier. I am a little worried about mold since the fan wont fit in the tent any more. I put one outside it and have it blowing in the whole day but at night there is no fan only the intake and exhaust fans are runing. I shouldve never let these suckers veg so long. The vk are gonna out grow my tent. as it stands my light has to be angled to ensure the shorter plants arent 2 ft from the light. I went to the dispensarie last night befor going to see HP. they sold me an eigth of "ww" got it home and its 2 different kinds of bud. bastards. on a second thought HP was ok the 3d made it fun.

HP?

I am using a 5200 btu at the moment and it doesn't do much. Luckily I have kind of vented it so I can keep my temps around 74-78 most times, but it gets back up to 82 every rare occasion. I need a 7k or 9k for my room, but I was thinking of grabbing an 11k just in case I ever upgrade to an 8x8 area. I work in an electronics store, and our discounts suck on the portable A/C units, but I do get the first heads up on clearance items and when returned items drop further in price. If it's still there on Saturday I am going to pick up at least the 9k unit for 199. A lot better than the 350 it was just a few months ago. My plan is to sell 5-10k in product the day I buy it, and try and guilt them into another 50 bucks off. 5k for 50 bucks, makes sense to me.

Stick the fan under the plants and have it blow upwards.

HP=harry potter, 5200 dont do much. I bought my a/c from a guy off craigslist. He claimed it didnt work any more. Im a hvac service tech. 99% of times if they "dont work anymore" its because they never opened them up and cleaned the dust off the inside of the condensor and the evaperator. I opened this one up cleaned the tray and the evap. had about 1/4inch of cat hair on it. washed it real good and let it sit in the sun for a week. this thing works like a champ. paid 75 bucks for it. you sell 5k for them they should give it to you as a bonus. damn thats alot of merchandise. alright Im considering hanging this small box fan i have in the tent and have it blowing under the light. I mean my light does have a inline hooked up to it venting outdoors but it still gets warm in there. And yes im a nerd who likes harry potter movies.

Right before I opened this thread I figured out what HP meant.... yes, it really did bother me that much to not know what HP meant.. lol. Don't worry dude, I love those kind of movies, it's good shit. As long as I act like a cool tough stoner outside the theater, I can geek out as hard as I want inside the theater. Haha.

I'm no hvac service tech, but I'm smart enough to know to clean the filters on my AC unit when it stops working right. I mean, it's the only thing that makes sense. It's sad how people just throw crap away now and go buy new stuff when it stops working. Remember back in the day when people would open stuff up and fix it? Broken doesn't mean it's broke, it's just a time out. As a salesman I am subjected to a lot of consumerism, and it can be down right grotesque.

And one time I sold 11k in 80 minutes, and they wouldn't even give me 200 off a TV that was open box, clearance, and over a year old. They have lost more than 2000 dollars alone just because it is taking up a spot that new merchandise could be displayed in. That is how stingy Best Buy is: the new WalMart. Did you know we almost started to carry groceries 2 years ago? They are still considering it.... notice that our snack selection at the front registers tripled?

I have 3 1500 BTU units laying around here from LG, or maybe they are 1200 BTU, but either way, my grow partner bought them a year ago and still hasn't installed them... but my buddy, my grow partner, and I just started to install them. I just was not looking forward to cutting more holes in the wall and then framing them in. They are all window units, so we have to chop up the walls because these giant bitches wont fit in any of the tiny windows in my little mountain cabin.

And more air moving is almost always a good thing. A box fan gives off a mighty breeze, but if you have mighty stems it should be fine. Too much wind can cause stress, but it's pretty obvious when it is too much.

lol yea its a 12 box fan so im not to worried about it I just want soe air movment at night. during the day i have my fan siting in front of the tent blowing in. That is insane puting groceries in an electronics store. Cutting holes in your walls is a bitch specialy if you in the mountains. Hopfully you dont get alot of snow there or your gonna regret those big ass holes. speaking of mighty stems them sem on one of the vk is frikken huge at the top its at least 4 times thicker than any other stem in there its the same diameter from bottom to top its crazy. Im just hoping big ass stem means big ass bud.

We foamed the hell out of the gaps in the wall, my buddy is a window installer and he gave me a hand, so I feel pretty confident that I wont get a draft. Bigger stems means bigger buds, it sure does ;)

I think a 12" box fan would be great, Jorge Cervantes recommends a 10" box fan, but 12" is the closest I've seen to that so far.

lol yeah i love that foam stuff I think its called great stuff. Its just a bitch to get off your hands. I think mineral spirits or some shit. Today is the first day for buds they just showed this morning. The fruit is geting near Im not sure if i should flush it and when the pistils are about 25% dead all the trichs are cloudy with about 5% amber. I am think when the pistils are about 80% dead and i have about 15% amber give it a flush. I wanted to try to add some molasses in when i flush see how that would work. Im just worried about starving them. there has been alot of debate on flushing vs not flushing going on. I just know i cant stand smoking bud that taste like chemicals.

Last crop I drowned them to try and ferment them, because I heard that is better than curing, that turned out to be a bunch of harsh crap, and this time I did my normal flushing but let them completely absorb all the water and go dry before I flushed them again, every 2-4 days I would dump about 3-5 gallons on 2 plants. I didn't raise the pH at all either during flush, kept it at 5.8-5.9, and my buds continued to swell and swell, one of my plants gained more weight during the 10-14 day flush than it did during most the flowering period (I didn't keep track of how long I flushed, lol). I used lots of carbohydrates, mainly molasses extracts, but molasses works just as well. I highly suggest flushing with carbohydrates (molasses). I also heard that just keeping your PPM's low will keep you from having to flush. Well I kept my PPM's low this round, but i still flushed, and this is my smoothest and tastiest crop ever. If you had a bowl to smoke you would brag to your friends about it, I guarantee it. It went from tasting like Diesel to tasting like artificial cherries.

Pistils literally mean nothing, it is strain specific, and pistil growth will continue until the plant dies on the stalk. I've harvested an AK47 with all blonde pistils and she was perfect, harvested just in time. My Grape Krush is harvested with 60-70% blonde pistils, Whiteberry is pure blonde or I can hold off until it's 50/50, And my SFV is harvest with 30% blonde pistils or less. Pistils don't tell you squat about harvest, but are a good indicator that is time to check the crystals. If pistils start dying back fast, or have just been sitting there without changing for a long time, it's probably time to peep the crystals and see where they are at. That is how i knew to harvest the AK, it was all blonde in week 7-8 and the buds were swelling but the hairs were still all blonde. I checked the plant and it was perfect. love it.

Personally, after 30% amber trichs, I think the quality starts to degrade.
