The Trade war between the US and Communist China

Taco has often defended positions that are clearly false.

Sometimes he gets it right but he's a bit dodgy with facts.
Throw in a few preemptive insults and you basically have a Trumptard. That's why I usually pretend he isn't there, but he's trying to match wits in a thread that I spent hours making. It's rude, but hey, he could have sworn he saw a satellite image...

It never made sense to me why the US would open up our country to trade with China with the same people in power who committed the atrocity in Tienanmen Square. The children of the children of the leaders of the Communist regime aren't really Communist, though. They are a mercantile economy ruled by an oligarchy. .There is validity in the idea of pulling back or even out of trade with China.

The idea of direct military confrontation with China is so yesterday. Nuclear powers aren't going to fight a conventional war. So, no. Let's not put our dukes up and have at it. Rather than fight, the US should look inward and expand its own ability to compete. Everything we need to compete is at home.
The reason why the US cozied up to China was to keep Russia and China estranged.

I hit “Ignore” on him some time ago.
The ignore button doesn't keep people from derailing your threads. I'm pretty patient when it comes to insults but I don't like it. If someone talks like that to my face they might get a martial arts seminar. Nobody ever talks to me like that when I'm working, but I'm a technical diving instructor and I can hide a body where it will never ever be found.

There’s a lot of people who need insulting but you’re not one of them.

Because you made yourself look like a complete ass two posts in a row with your "show me" shit. Then everybody showed you and you ran off crying like a bitch.

More stuff
The Chinese navy could commission its first catapult-equipped aircraft carrier in 2022, according to the May 2019 edition of the U.S. Defense Department’s annual report on Chinese military developments.

A carrier with catapults can launch heavier aircraft than a carrier without catapults can do. Catapults finally will allow the Chinese navy to form U.S.-style carrier air wings with a full range of fighter aircraft and support planes.
Full article: https://nationalinterest.org/blog/buzz/chinas-navy-will-soon-have-aircraft-carriers-america-least-1-key-area-56262

The carrier they are talking about, catapult equipped, same layout as a Nimitz class carrier essentially, just launched. It's being finish fitted right now.

Not only am I aware of this development, I know how to destroy it. But the type 002 won't be in service for several years. China has 2 carriers in service. The type 001A and the Liaoning.

So you're aware it exists when you said three times that it doesn't.

Brilliant. Just brilliant.

How I saw it was we should let the people of China clean out the remains of the Communist regime before we open up relations. Russia and China were both failing nations at the time, I saw no threat in the alliance. But of course, nobody ever asked me what to do.

China has its own long term economic difficulties ahead of them, what with the effects of the one child policy resulting in an aging nation. The US should do what it can to let the natural course of events take place. We have this short sighted, impatient nature and tend to take action when containment, inaction and time will do the work for us. The US should look inward and invest in its people. We are completely capable of competing with China if we take a longer view and take care to our own problems. . The people of China will eventually kick the current regime out if we give them no reason to fear the US.

Dude, if you take a few minutes to read this whole thread again, you might see all the parts you missed. I know you won't reverse course because you're the only person here more stubborn than shyttstik but I never said it didn't exist. I said it hasn't been launched. Feel free to post some satellite images though. The one that was recently launched was the the type 001A. That's powered by steam turbines and has a ski ramp.

Thanks for derailing my thread that I spent hours making.

I agree. I do not think that China's current model can function without an enemy. Ours certainly can't.

Wrong. Again. It's simply amazing. I just posted department of defense information that clarifies exactly what I said is true and exactly what you said is wrong. I'm going to try this one more time dumbed down to your level:

China only has two operational carriers right now.

The first carrier was bought from Russia via Ukraine and finished by China. It became operational in 2015. It has no steam catapult and uses a ramp.

The second carrier was built from scratch by China in China and was basically a copy of the first carrier with a few improvements. It was launched in 2017 and just finished sea trials and will join the fleet this year if it hasn't already. It has a ramp as well and no steam catapult.

The third carrier isn't finished yet. It just launched. It is being finish fitted as we speak. It is the carrier the DOD was talking about in the article. It does not have a ramp. It is outfitted with a steam catapult. They expect it to be finished and commissioned by 2022.

The one you keep saying "was just launched and is a piece of shit ramp carrier" doesn't exist. The only one just launched isn't finished, is steam catapult finished and has no ramp. It will not be completed, according to the DOD, until 2022.

If you can't understand that (which given that I've spelled that out for you and even posted DOD links that explain it in great detail and you still don't get it) then to hell with it. I'm out.

Continue to spew outdated, worthless bullshit the 'Murican way.

You're so awesomely dumb I'm just in shock. I mean, you are clearly able to read. You have now adjusted your story yet again so that it nearly matches what I have been saying (with unwavering accuracy) for several posts. Really, go back and read the thread again. I'm sure that anyone else who cares to see how much of a jack ass you are already knows you're a complete jack ass, but maybe now you'll see it too. Have you considered a 12 step program for that drinking problem?

China just launched it's first built from scratch aircraft carrier. It rivals the current American Enterprise in nearly every way. It's not going to be very long before we'll not be able to push China around at all. Quite the contrary: we'll be lucky to hold our own.
China's single home grown carrier can certainly not beat the Nimitz class carrier, not even on paper, much less in blue water. Anyway, the Ford class carrier is in service already and so is the F35.
The type 001A (Chinese piece of shit collection of stolen and borrowed technologies) is powered by steam turbines and has a ski jump to launch its 38 light fighters.
Spoken by a man who has NO CLUE what he's talking about.

The carrier you're talking about was bought from Russia and finished in China. Their new one that just launched doesn't have a ski jump. It's the exact same layout as the Nimitz Class nuclear carriers and is outfitted in similar fashion.

It looks very similar to this:

Someone get me some of what this dipshit is smoking.

The type 002 isn't in service yet, the 001A is still in sea trials. Read something that isn't Russian propaganda, dumb ass.
I have seen the satellite images of it launching.

But whatever you say.
I gave you a sympathy like, since you always start calling names when you want attention.
I don't need sympathy from a blowhard like you.

The very first Chinese carrier was bought from Russia and completed in China.

The one you're talking about is actually the 2nd Chinese carrier. It's very much like, but an improvement on the 1st carrier and it just finished sea trials. It was completed back in 2017. The one I'm talking about just launched. It's not yet completed.
Though what you say is convoluted and makes very little sense, I'm beginning to think you do it on purpose so that you can later say you meant something else. The type 002 has not been launched BECAUSE it is not complete. The type 001A was very recently launched and has steam turbines and a ski ramp.
It is being finish fitted in the water as we speak. It is the new generation carrier. It is nothing at all like the first two carriers.
I'm talking about the 001A. It is a piece of shit and was very recently launched. It is China's only homegrown carrier. The Liaoning is more of a training and research facility for China to develop a modern navy than it is an effective weapon. Nobody is talking about that piece of shit. The 001A is what I mentioned, very specifically when you said they have only just launched it recently. Go stare at some more photoshopped satellite images.
What did you accomplish by derailing my thread aside from making a complete ass of yourself?
