Right on! Monday may work. Ill get back to ya.

Three 400 bulbs, now you need to find some cheap ballasts and you could have 1800 watts in there not counting the LEDs. May get warm ish, but winter is coming! (after your trip that is)
Have it looking like a supernova up in there..

I know that's probably not practical--but I'm a dreamer.

The crazy thing is I should have a 400w ballast here somewhere... it disappeared during the move! That's why I have so many bulbs :) Just went in there -- temps actually went down -- it is now back to 69 even with the 600w at full blast for about an hour :) So should be good considering summer is passing and the goal is to get it up to 78 during lights up... I should have no prob adding those LEDs in and keeping the heat from getting too high. Almost makes me regret not getting the 750w... but I got more than enough light and more than enough plants so I guess I can't complain :) Unfortunately it's almost impossible to get a good pic of the grow area due to the size of the shelf compared to the room... i can't back away enough to get it all in :) Might have to go vid this one. Just mixed up 5 gallons of water & low strength nutes & superthrive... now just gotta get off baby duty so I can do that ;)

Lowered the light down to the level just above the top of the plants.. I still gotta rehang it later for optimal positioning. Did more sexing. Found one more boy -- so sad because it was a really healthy, vigorous apollo. Of the remaining, there's a couple still I can't find any preflowers on or they're too small to tell anything... and one that has preflowers were one looks like a female the other like a nut :) So will have to wait on that one (an Ace of spades)

Well it's the weekend, and it's the time to get the real gardening work done :)

Stopped by the hydro store and picked up some supplies... started mixing dirt to transplant the seedlings from their small cups into for the big pots. They're getting big and need to be moved... I watered them this morning and topped all except the runt. Soil their mixing works out to the following ingredient - 1 big bag of roots organic soil, 1/3 bag foxfarm light warrior, 1/3 bag of earthworm castings (6.66 lbs), 1/3 bag of coco coir (2/3 ft3), 1/4 cup each of lime, azomite, humates, epsom salt and kelp meal.

So I just can't help it... I wanna get new seeds... so I'm thinking I'm gonna get several strains over the next couple months every other paycheck order 2 of each from hemp depot (get a freebie 5 pack of tga chernobyl or plushberry if you order 2 10 packs)... so gonna order...

Expected Order Date: 9/21
10 TGA Jacks Cleaner II
10 TGA Qleaner
5 freebie TGA Chernobyl/Plushberry

Expected order date: 10/5
10 TGA TimeWreck
10 TGA Deep Purple
5 freebie TGA Chernobyl/Plushberry

Expected Order Date: 10/19
10 TGA Space Dawg
10 TGA Ripped Bubba
5 freebie TGA Chernobyl/Plushberry

Should end up with 75 seeds of 8 new strains (on top of the 11 I've got going now)!

Also, I am thinking why cut off my grow at end of harvest until next year... I was going to because I was going out of town, but my friend who knows about/shares in my grow will be coming over to check cats, so may have to teach him how to water (he's clueless)... or maybe i'll just get you to come watch'em for me owl :) i'm thinking if I time it right maybe I can transplant them into a bigger pot and water them in good the day before I leave they'll make it most of the way til I get back I'm sure... might need one watering. But may not be good transplant timing too.

After I've grown out the batch of seeds above, I'll probably take stock of the keepers I've got and pick one strain to do a pheno hunt.

The smaller of the ace of spades that I had(fairly unmentioned) dried out to exactly one bowl load :) and tasted extremely of black cherry soda--wasn't that one of the parents? Either way, best tasting bowl I've smoked in some time.

Id like to grow that out, or find that AOS pheno anyway..

As per above, just let me know..

Yup that's the black cherry soda pheno... I expect one of my females should have it as they are all fairly indica :) i'll let you know

Oh and it turns out my last cloning round wasn't such a failure after all... of 8 cuts, 4 rooted. Unfortunately 2 were rooted from boys... but 2 were from the same AoS girl so will have 2 AoS cuts if they survive... meaning I'll have an extra if you want :) Need to make sure they both survived going to cups though. How're those cuts you took? Any roots yet?

No roots yet but they look good. Only the littlest one(which was an extra C99 x G13 haze) has yellowed any so far. I expect them to be showing roots in this week. Which is good, I see these moms needing a haircut soon.
Lemme get things around and I'll update pic the cuts.

Keep an eye on the yellowers... I found this time that the ones that started yellowing at the edges were the ones that got roots. The others just wilted eventually. I just transplanted them into 1.5 gallon pots. It looks like the combination of cuts from bigger stems + more heat from the HPS probably made the difference... so hopefully with more diligence i'll get that % survival up over 50% :) But 50% survival would be fine with me -- i'm fine taking 2 cuts per plant as long as one survives.

The cuts look good i went in this morning and they both looked good under the dome and taking them outside they look even better... i put about an inch of veg soil on top (was short on dirt when i put them in yesterday) The 50% success this round makes me feel much better about deciding to take flower cuts... hopefully i can be reasonably assured of getting my keepers to root and survive.

Seedlings look FANTASTIC -- have had no problems with these whatsoever except the runty cheesexcheese. Man it's roots were pathetic and rotty when I checked'em out this morning... hoping now that she's in a bigger pot with may better dirt she'll take off... we'll see.

Pics of the grow area and seedlings coming today for sure. I am gonna let the cam charge a few more minutees then go take some.. maybe a vid too. I may not get those up this morning as we're leaving for a birthday party in about an hour... later i'm gonna go kick it and smoke out with a couple friends in cedar park so may not be til after that we'll see.

So here we are at day 53 from seed... they are getting about 9 hours dark today and then they'll get 12 starting tomorrow on day 1 of 12/12.

This may actually be the worst part of the year for heat for my grow... in the summer heat, the a/c ran all the time and kept the room cool.. now that outside temps are lower, the a/c is not running much and the grow room is getting hot. Not too hot yet but up in the 80+ range. 12/12 should help, and i'll probably end up running 12/12 during the day at first until we get to real fall temps so it's running while the a/c is :)

The 600 when I first got her in.. i've lowered her since

top-day49.jpgbottom-day49.jpg

Plants on the shelf at day 53 -- approximately 3 days and one feeding (yesterday) later
shelf.jpgshelf2.jpg

The two 5 gallon plants -- Ace of Spades (bottom left) and CheeseQuake (top right) - CQ is starting to get big.. .these pics don't do it justice but those are big 5 gallon pots, not small pots. They were the same size as the
5gal.jpgother plants when transplanted, now they dwarf them.

The seedlings/next generation -- they're kickin ass. Right pic is the largest/most vigorous pheno so far -- Caseyband (c4 cross) -- all these plants got topped or they'd be even bigger. Only one that didn't is the runt and one or two of the smallest. They got watered in with 1 ml/gallon Superthrive and 3/5 tbsp/gallon (normal dose is 1-3 tbsp/gall) of Pure Blend's guano/compost tea (1-.5-1) Two plants in the small cups in the left pics are the ace of spades clones, fresh from rooting and out of their dome.

I'm pretty psyched to be in flower... I ended up giving them the full 12 hours yesterday and updated the light schedule... so they are done with their first day 12/12! I put in one of the LEDs and will probably put the other up tonight as well as adjust the HPS location a little.

All the seedlings are surrounding the light on the ground in their new pots.

I got 2 bags of roots and supplies left so in the next few days I'm gonna mix up a trashcan full of veg super soil for the next round, then as soon as I get that batch going i'll mix up the flower super soil.

Keep forgetting to tell ya man, the shelf looks great with the girls up on it all painted and such!

Seeing it now, I have thought up a way you could do a gutter system beneath the tubs and let it drain to a bucket off to one side..
But it's only a thought--for now;)

Yeah it does it turned out good... the way the boards are spread across the shelf it would not work for that but have a good idea what you mean. It doesn't really work well for watering unless the shelves are adjustable because you can't water them properly on the shelves due to the angle.

LEDs are up, HID re-centered and height adjusted, floor plants arranged to surround the light. Second shelf will be where that cab in the background is.

I'm thinking that probably tomorrow or the next day I will put the babies upstairs with some LEDs for the next 3 weeks to veg longer... they should get done in time as long as they go to 12/12 in no more than 3 weeks... feel like I'll be killing my yields if I leave'm in 12/12... thoughts?

Hard to tell the difference in phenos right now, the Caseyband dom has the classic 5 finger headband looking leaves but early on the C4 dom has maple leaf looking leaves too and the sugar leaves tend to curl down in flower

Anyways they look happy! Nicely done sensi!! Booooom Mutha Fucka (BMF ; )

the one on the right has the maple leaves -- don't know if you can tell at the top right it's got two fingers merged. :) i hope i get at least one good female of these that's c4 dom as i've always been really curious to grow out that strain when i was growing previously. I'm gonna be watering tonight so i'll most likely be taking pics and video as well... if not tonight than for sure in the morning, but all the plants are starting to get dry in there... they've definitely grown into their pots at this point root-wise. I guess no more super thrive for the flower girls.

Picked up some new nutes tonight... decided to stick with the pure blend line for now. So I got the Pure Blend Metabolic Bloom which is their bloom counterpart to the light compost tea strength nutes i use in veg -- bloom is equal parts N & P all < 1 I think 0.5-0.5-0.1. I also got the Pure Blend Bloom regular nutes that are 2-3-1. No wonder my plants started flowering early last time I used the bloom nutes... i was supposed to mix the veg formula with this bloom formula for early veg and i mixed it with the late bloom formula... and of course saw extra yellowing :) This time I'm going to try to follow the feeding schedule on the back of the bottles pretty closely since I actually have all the nutes needed to do so :)

So here are the new plans for the grow room... pheno hunting. I had to make a decision what seeds to get today and I decided I have enough strains going I will get clones off of for variety... it's time to pheno hunt for elites. So I figure 2 packs of seeds (20) is going to fill one of those shelves and the ground next to it -- so I'm gonna get 2 packs of each strain at a time for each shelf, so only growing 2 new strains at a time each grow (of course i'll have cuts going on any testers and worthwhile keepers) -- those can go on the ground surrounding the light in between the shelves for max size potential. My seed order is on it's way -- the choice is 20 TGA TimeWrecks with a 5 pack of Chernobyl freebie. So 25 trainwreck crosses. Most people say they find a good keeper in a 5 pack... I'm aiming to find one elite keeper out of 20-25 :) Not sure what the next strain will be after because I have to get through 3 harvests before then (current batch, current seedlings, timewreck seed order, each spread one month apart for a perpetual harvest each month). After I find the keepers in the 1.5 gallon airpots their cuts will be grown in 2.5 - 5 gallon airpots (eventually will move to all 5 gallons but gonna do that over time).

Tomorrow getting that new veg room going so will have separate veg and flower at the same time. Yay - seedlings and cuts go back in veg.
