i think at the core of the dilema is the state involvement factor.
the state and fed need to completely remove themselves from it and see what happens for a while. if you have large grow ops putting product into stores en masse it would be a good time set some standards and perhaps regulate IF there were any health issues (ie., the glass in the U.K.). otherwise, it should be treated as an organic herb, or garden vegetable with NO taxation or gvnmnt involvement. i for one would not register with any state or fed program and i would NOT buy from any of them either.
