Trust I do understand what you are saying...The popular vote should control the day, but if that was done why would the candidates even need to campaign in your smaller states ??? hell just get about 10 large populated states and you are done. Who the hell would just want Cali,New York, Texas, etc always picking our POTUS. The electoral at least keeps you courting all. edit..and Bush just out right stole that election and Gore was to pussyfoot to fight for it..
Two comments: Two states (ONLY two) require their delegates to follow the popular vote. However the penalty for not doing so is only a small fine. The accusation that Bush "stole" the election has often been made, but all the evidence indicates otherwise. But people want to believe it so they assume it to be true

You can blame it on the past, but don't worry they still court the white vote in the way they say certain things... With Reagan it was the "Chicago welfare queen"...Newt saying " Obama is the best food stamp President.. Come on dude are you really trying to tell me that the GOP candidates don't try to get that southern white vote..KEEP IT REAL OR KEEP IT MOVING
" in the way they say certain things" To be fair, you're insisting their words mean only what you say they mean. not what they actually said.

I see your point, but I do think it could have been different had Gore fought the results...and Bush having the SCOTUS on his side pretty much helped...but Gore should have fought, so at least it could have been drawn to light. But to my point having to only go after the populated states would bring about unfairness to the states not so populated,so therefore we have the electoral vote
Gore did fight the results. He just didn't have a case. He sent an army of lawyers to Florida to demand absentee military ballots that arrived without a postmark not be counted. That was shameful.

"Fairness" has nothing to do with the electoral vote. Why would you even make such an odd assertion? The electoral college was created in the Constitution because delegates from low population colonies would not join the union without guarantees they would not be dominated by the more heavily populated states. Not about "fairness", but about "balance of power'. The Constitution was/is a contract between the Federal government and the States/Colonies.

I just say fuck looking at state population, and political parties. Since we go through the effort of tracking every voter's vote, we should count it, and only it. That's what I believe in, because we're supposed to be a democratic country, and that's with the understanding that a lot of politically driven media is bull shit. Unless I'm misunderstood, wasn't there recently an effort to shut down false media? I could be as I heard it in passing, but would like any explanation from anyone who knows what I'm thinking of. Either way man, our vote doesn't have to count, and when it does, it's still a decision that's mostly decided by the 2 political parties. I would make a better president than anyone in the race right now.
"Unless I'm misunderstood, wasn't there recently an effort to shut down false media? I could be as I heard it in passing, but would like any explanation from anyone who knows what I'm thinking of." Not so much "false media" as "media that doesn't agree with us/me".

giving every state a balance of power is being fair..If i had 20 kids in a class and also had 63 cookies but gave each child a equal amount of cookies (3) would you not call that being fair ??? now are you about to mince words for the sake of conversation..

Are you implying McCain is a racist? I've never heard anyone accuse else accuse him of racism. Perhaps you're saying the minorities not present are racist as they won't support a white candidate?
McCain in no way is a racist.
I am pointing out the color of the crowd.
Its pasty fucking white.
You know why?
Because the Republican party hasnt done shit for minorities and attracts racists.
Do I think the Republican party is racist.

But I damned sure DID say these words and will again ***RON PAUL IS A RACIST AND POTENTIAL FASCIST***.......... How do ya like them apples boy? Got any sort of clue as to where Victoria is? And I notice that like the vast majority of Paulista Lemmings you lack any direct address of the specifics. Hey want to talk about *earmarks* and Paul? Want to go right there? Hows about his connections to the John Birch Society? Perhaps his connections with the Dominionist/Xtian Reconstructionist Movement? Care to discuss any of those? I can brings names and *real* info to the table , can you bring ANYTHING beside bullshit hyperbole ,attempted sensationalism , obfuscation of the past and the issues ....and a lotta strident ad hominem? YOur boy is just another D.C. Whore spreading his legs for anyone who will help keep him inside the Beltway. Now order me to " shut up" again. Go ahead.

"But all Racists are Republicans" I know a couple of Democrats that are racist. so I have to disagree with you there. If I'm not mistaken, I saw several "Angry White Males" in the Occupy movement, also. You're convicting many based on the guilt of a few.
