I'm getting close to harvest right now with a grow (hydro) I do not intend to flush at all as a test. I gave it it's last feeding today and plan to cut in 8 - 10 days as trichs develop. I think by then the plants will have stopped uptaking on their own, and I'm dubious that anything is leeched...

I like humidity in the 30s. I think the problem is the fans. You can dry buds too fast in that they dry on the outside but not the inside. Then you can have mold. Best to let them dry slowly, 7 - 10 days

I usually do 24 hrs dark instead of 12 before harvest. I might try 72, but I want to open them up and check trichs each day.

If it's properly cured and in good jars away from light and cool and dry (a lot of ifs) it will last 10 years easy.

Drying buds need good air circulation around them but not a fan directly on them. I just hang mine on a makeshift "clothesline" across the room. They don't need darkness, just not direct light. Mine dry in a room with the windows covered.

Just remember that hundreds or thousands of plants are harvested too soon for every one that's harvested late. When in doubt, give it some more time.

I don't know, but a very old friend has a masters in plant science and has worked for a long time in the tobacco industry. He is now a legal grower in a medical state. He grows in hydro and assures me flushing helps, but he only does it for 3 - 4 days before harvest. I'll take his word for it...

A lot of confusion over flowering time is that it is mistaken for time on 12/12. Plants will be on 12/12 at least a week before they start to flower. So if you are counting from 12/12, add 7-10 days.

Glass canning jars with 2 part lids are the best.

Go on ebay and look for vintage microscopes. Look for older but like new Tasco, Spencer or Bausch & Lomb. You can get a real microscope for $20 - $50 that is much much better than a jeweler's loupe or the thing from radio shack. You will be in a forest of trichs!

I NEVER test until it is dried and cured for 30 days. I never weigh till then either. You're growing in soil I know, but I also wonder (for hydro) how many days it should be in plain water for a flush before harvest. I usually shoot for 7.

Mine went to 12/12 on 10/13. I'll start looking at trichs with a microscope and go with that. 60 days in flower sounds good, I thought 49 was just too little.
