F3 Valley Ice. (Matanuska x SFV OG)

Chopped another plant today. This was the runt of the pack. She ended up pulling through. Very frosty, very leafy. Good hash material.

Is my plant stretching? And is my soil PH to ok or too high? GSK Autoflower

Looks normal to me. I would only worry about stretching when you see it happening on the internodes. The hypocotyl always has a little stretch no matter what. It happens even outdoors under full sunlight. Increase light or move it closer to the plant if you want to grow a more compact plant...

Looking good. Hopefully you find a keeper.

    Hermaphrodite problem

Take the lights down, and grow some regular non feminized seeds on your next run. That would help get your confidence back. Feminized plants can be sensitive and small amounts of stress can cause them to herm. I have never purchased a feminized seed in my 15+ years of growing. Ive made...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

"Paramagnetic soils are soils that are mildly attracted to magnets and partially align with the Earth's magnetic field. Paramagnetism is a magnetic state that occurs when an atom has one or more unpaired electrons, which are attracted to a magnetic field." Really cool stuff. Just got done...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Thats some serious stress! Lol I think some plants need that type of stress training. Nice haul by the way. :blsmoke:

    Purple stems bad?

I haven't figured it out yet either, but it definitely shows up more in potted plants. When I grow a plant outdoors directly in the ground, they don't get red stems, not even in late flower when temps drop below 50f. When I grow cuttings of those same green plants indoors, the red stems show up...

2024 outdoor show an tell anything an everything outdoor is welcome.

Had to chop down MTF and Valley Ice a little early. The weather commands outdoor grows. The MTF had super dense buds. Lost about 5 grams to bud rot... Thats Nothing! 10x10 dry room is almost full. I can hang one more plant, thats about it. I have 3 plants left to harvest. Two are really...

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Thanks for sharing this. Really useful info. I should get a Brix refractor to check the leaves of some of the plants. One of my purple mothers has a sticky leaf surface. I kid you not. I can make a video showing how my fingers get sticky just by rubbing the leaf... In vegetative state! No...

First ever grow, flower week 3 suggestions?

For sure. All advice should be assessed relative to the plant that is being grown. It might make sense to remove buds from tier 3 for some plants, but not all plants. Genetics is the wildcard. I wouldn't dare remove tier 3 buds for a super dense flower pheno. I would also make as many tops as...

First ever grow, flower week 3 suggestions?

Your doing great. Plant looks really healthy. Dont change anything. Most of those fan leaves will fade and die back naturally. Only thing I would suggest is removing the buds developing on the bottom section of the plant. I attached a simple image as a reference. Remove all buds from section...

Do any Outside growers try and keep plants Low

Grow more small plants. Start the seeds 5 weeks before the usual flowering time. Example: Where I live, plants usually flower first week of September. If I start the seeds on the last week of July, then they have roughly 5 weeks of veg before flowering. If I top and LST the plants, they will...

    Windowsill grow. Mocha Berry.

Im growing 2 Mocha Berry plants on my windowsill. Giant window gets plenty of direct sunlight. Its sublime this time of the year. Both plants are in quart pots and will remain in those pots until the end of their lifetime. No sign of sex yet, and that doesn't really matter. Doing this for fun...

    Skipping transplant?

Ive been working on one strain since 2015. I created F4 seeds this year. I call it Valley Ice. Here is my ongoing thread, if you want to know more about it. https://www.rollitup.org/t/f3-valley-ice-matanuska-x-sfv-og.1099748/

Stress your plant, increase terpenes & thc

Thats a good point. I have seen THC kill insects. Maybe its both a repellent and attractant.
