Is it Possible That the U.S. Government Staged the Boston Marathon Bombing?

@Doer - Were you / are you suspecting something like powdered/crystalline acetone peroxide as the explosive/high explosive used? The reason I ask, fits the profile for sensitivity in terms of where it had to be utilized.. given that it's quite susceptable to friction, shock, heat, and who knows what else.
Well, I don't really know, really. But, it can be handled with dry ice packing (you'd better) Some of the early reports suggested it was a typical use for a pressure cooker. You carefully make the stuff at low temp, in the vessel. Not having to pour or sift is a lot safer. It is precipitant power of those 2, as you already know.

They said is was connected to a wood board. I assume that to be the stand on the board edge and you aim the cooker claymore with it.

lack of concussion injuries? Ok.. that's fine and dandy, until you see the concussive shockwave alone (not causing bodily injury with flying bearings or metal) still knocked a runner on his ass after his knees completely buckled. What's the max PSI that said pressure cooker can take? Was it truly designed to be a directed blast, or did it turn out to be weaker around the point where the lid would seal and just appear to be a directed blast? (physics says this would be a yes - the lid/seal is definitely weaker - especially in terms of quick/hella fast expansive pressure, as pressure cookers aren't designed to handle immense pressure compared to a few other designs) Am not arguing, just stating that it looks to be more than just a bit a bit of low pressure explosive used.. given that the forensic photos by no means showed any sort of a cone, or device capable of directing the blast out.. and as such, probably sprayed bearings out the sides as well. At this point, short of seeing the mass spec / gas chromatograph results and trajectory calculations based on where the devices are.. this is pure speculation and is open to debate / your own interpretation.
Well, it could have been a sealed bomb, like an artillery shell, I guess. But, I think the idea is the cooker vent gases at a low temp in fridge. The flakes build up a inch or so of explosive on the flat bottom.

He can prepare a load, maybe 1 pound of metal and 2 pounds of clay. Use the lid of the pressure cooker for his form.

When everything is still very cold, CAREFULLY, push down the charge onto the explosive.

I don't think he put the lid back on. I don't think it was an omni-directional blast.

And the one runner that collapsed may have taken a couple of ball bearing in the gut. Those we not ground shaking explosions, looked to me.

]Agreed, and is precisely why I've for the most part ruled out quite a few of the foreign terrorist organizations that exist,[/B] except for NDFB.. a small sub-cell of NSCN-IM - which are known to use household items for devices (generally speaking, not specific to pressure cookers) - have to run out for a bit, will explain my statement more when I return if any are truly curious as to how I came across that.
I really hate to bring this up because it may be read incorrectly and out of context, but I don't think a "pro" did this, the reason being there weren't enough casualties. I don't like to say callous things, in this instance it's just a by product of the way my mind works and that {amateur not a pro} being one of my conclusions when working this problem.

I agree.... Seems pretty amateur.

When I was a kid we used to build pipebombs with black powder & a piece of plumbing pipe. Drill a hole in the side & use a non-filter cigarette as a fuse! Looked just like the video's when it went off!

See you tried it {and this is not a knock against you personally because I'm damn sure you're not the only one} even though you had already seen the results, it's not too far of a push to say.....up the ante.

^^^That post in no way is a reflection of how I feel about this event, I'm not encouraging anyone to replicate such a thing, I was simply pointing out that for some people, the nudge needed to go from small explosive to hell on earth isn't much.

For anyone thinking of making a bomb large enough to blow themselves up, remember to ground yourself first. This is best done by sticking a fork in an electrical outlet. And don't forget, be safe.

My family was kicked out a long time ago...we were horse thieves. There is a small community in northern Ireland that bares our name.
My family fought on both sides during the american civil war in 1860's, don't get us riled up, we don't care which side we fight on, just so were in the fight!lol!
