Bleach is an excellent cleaner, and sterilizer, plus it dissipates naturally leaving no residue like soaps.

My guess is overwatering, not the fumes. Paint fumes may play a small part, but back off on the watering, maybe every third day.

Also, you must remember that their claim of seven weeks is based on optimum growing conditions. You can probably count on that seven weeks turning into about ten, possibly more.

Grandma's is just the brand name. I buy Grandma's Unsulphered Blackstrap Molasses, so it is everything that is good. Whoever says Grandma's is better or worse has no clue, it's just the brand name, the important bit is that it be unsulphered.
