I smoke around my plants all the time. They grow just as good as my buddies who are non-smokers. I'm sure if you have absolutely no air circulation, its probably no good but then you shouldn't be sitting in that room either.

I highly doubt that CO2 would turn the plants hermie. Too much CO2 would burn the fan leaves and too little would just do nothing. I've yet to hear were someone has released too much CO2, where all there plants have hermied in any large commercial operation although I have heard of it happening...

I agree it looks like a mg deficency, the epson salt will definetly help. Also when you water with your full strength nutes, make sure the soil isn't too dry. Its best when the soil is slightly damp/moist. This will stop the nutes from burning the fine roots hairs.
