    cree led lumen drop off

You might want to stop staring at your cobs lol. Maybe its your vision getting worse (hopefully not). But the household bulbs are engineered horribly for heat dissipation and I wouldn't doubt if they are getting worse. All the cheap led household bulbs I put inside enclosures failed fast. The...

    How to arrange 6 x CXB3590 to cover 750mm by 750mm

I would leave a little extra space in the middle and focus on hitting the edges since the middle will benefit from both bars. It would probably be easier to just light them up and play with the footprint. Are you putting plants all the way to the edges?

    Which light is better?

I picked up a dimmable 5000k 26w led from Wal-Mart that's pretty sweet. I remotely mounted the chip on my heatsink between two cxa-3070 3000k chips to get more blue in my setup.

New grow box build. With pics.

    bedside cabinet auto grow

Could you run a separate sealed air channel for the back side of the heatsink? You could move more air with pc fans if you don't need to filter it. That would also keep a majority of the hot air from reaching the grow area.

Maybe used two stacked filters if one set doesn't cut it. Or run the leds at 350ma and see if it's better

    bedside cabinet auto grow

Try building the filter flatter and wider. More surface area for the air to flow through. Leave a gap between the fans and filter so it uses more of the surface area. Stacking two fans works best as mentioned earlier. Ziplock containers are about perfect.

DIY kits now available from Timber!

You state this as a fact but I'm sure not everyone shares your opinion. $6-11 per light can easily be covered in the first grow. If you don't like someone's prices or what they are offering just move on.
